The newly appointed members of the National Election Commission will assume duties tomorrow (10).
The Election Commission said that President Gotabaya Rajapaksa had issued a directive for the officers to commence duties immediately under the 20th Amendment to the Constitution.

Nimal Punchihewa was appointed as the Chairman of the National Election Commission.
