Eight (08) constituent parties of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) have condemned attempts made by certain individuals to blame Minister of Energy Udaya Gammanpila for the recent hike in fuel prices.
The members representing the eight constituent parties said the decision to increase fuel prices was drawn during a meeting chaired by the President and Prime Minister, and cannot be blamed only on the subject Minister.
They further said a proposal with a suitable system will be submitted to President Gotabaya Rajapaksa in the near future. (NewsWire)
