A Sri Lankan sea guard arrived from India was diagnosed as a Coronavirus patient today (02) at his home in Jinthupitiya, Colombo.
He was in self-quarantine at his home in Jinthupitiya, the Government said in a statement.
After the arrival, he was subjected to a 14-day compulsory quarantine period and he was sent for self quarantine as he was tested negative for Covid19.

Meanwhile as a safety measure authorities have temporarily lockdown the area he lived.
143 people from 29 families in Jinthupitiya will be sent to mandatory Quarantine according to the area health officials.
