Police say that two unidentified persons who came on a motorcycle had shot and killed a person using a T56 firearm, inside a restaurant in Martis Lane area of Keselwatta, Colombo.
The deceased has been identified as a 20-year-old resident of Colombo 12.
The police say that the deceased person is a accomplice of underworld figure Dhanuka, a wanted criminal who is hiding abroad.
The victim has come eat at the the restaurant when the gunmen arriving in a motorcycle had stopped and started shooting. The deceased had run inside the restaurant where one suspect had followed him and shot, the police further said.
Keselwatta Police are conducting further investigations to apprehend the suspects (NewsWire)
