A total of 226 Navy personnel have tested positive for COVID19 as of today, Army Commander Shavendra Silva said.
He said 147 were from the Welisara Navy Camp while the others were Navy personnel who were on leave.
69 people from Narahenpita & 184 people people who had connections with Navy patients have been sent to quarantine centers, he further added.
Meanwhile validity of Curfew Passes issued for Government & Private sector essential services which were to be expired tomorrow, extended until May 31, DIG Ajith Rohana added.
He also said that 48 drug addicts in Colombo were ordered to self quarantine.
