23 COVID-19 patients were identified today increasing the number of confirmed cases to 611, Health Service Director General Dr. Anil Jasinghe said.
He said 5 of the eight patients were Navy personnel and the three others were reported from the Punani Quarantine.
Details of the other patients were yet to be released.
Some 1,553 Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) tests were carried out which was the highest number of PCR tests conducted within a day.
