36 organised Criminal gangs are operating in the country, according to Sri Lanka Police.
Ministry of Public security has been informed about this by Sri Lanka Police during a recent discussion, media reported.
Police say from the 36 gangs 24 of them are active.
Minister of Public Security Admiral Sarath Weerasekera has ordered the police to take necessary steps to suppress these criminal gangs. (NewsWire)
