Young Journalist Pragas Gnanapragasam has passed away a short while ago due to Covid-19.
“Shocked to hear that Pragas Gnanam succumbed to the COVID battle a short while ago. Just spoke to him a few hours ago. My deepest condolences to his family, friends and colleagues. He was such a brave journalist and a kind human being. He will always be remembered, ” Prime Minister’s Coordinating Secretary G.Casslingam tweeted.
Journalist Pragas Gnanapragasam (26) who was a muscular dystrophy patient had tweeted yesterday that he had tested positive for Covid.
“I tested positive for Covid 19 today after five days fever. now health normally good. I am a muscular dystrophy patient, and so far not vaccinated.” he tweeted.
Pragas Gnanapragasam was famous in Twitter for his unbiased news from the Northern Province of Sri Lanka.
He was also awarded the Raviraj Memorial Award in recognition of the contribution to the society for Integration Activities Through Social Media, as a Journalist in 2019. (NewsWire)
