A 26-year-old woman has been found murdered after being attacked with a sharp object in the Muthuwadiya area in Seeduwa.
The Police said the woman was found dead inside the room of a boarding house last night.
The deceased has been identified as a 26-year-old resident of Megodawewa in Palugollegama.
Preliminary investigations have revealed that the woman had been murdered following a dispute with a man with whom she had been involved in an illicit affair.
The Seeduwa Police has launched investigations to apprehend the suspect, who had fled the area following the murder. (NewsWire)
