The Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) says that they have sealed 3 companies who were found to have imported coconut oil contaminated with cancer causing substances, Ada Derana reported.
A spokesman for the CAA stated that after investigations done with samples obtained from the concerned coconut oil, it was determined that it is not suitable for consumption.
He said that they took necessary steps to seal off the 3 companies until they re-export the contaminated stock of coconut oil. (NewsWire)
