3 politicians engage in campaigns despite being ordered to self-quarantine for attending Rajanganaya funeral

 

The Public Health Inspectors Union (PHIU) has charged that three politicians who had attended a funeral house in Rajanganaya, which was visited by the instructor from the Kandakadu Rehabilitation Centre who was later detected with COVID-19, have not undergone self- isolation.

President of the PHIU Upul Rohana said among 4 politicians who had attended the funeral in Rajanganaya, three have ignored quarantine regulations and are engaged in election campaigns.

He mentioned this when addressing a media briefing today.

Nearly 12,000 people in Rajangananaya are currently in self quarantine.
