A Police Constable has been killed after being assaulted by a group of individuals in Tangalle.
The Police said the victim has been identified as a 34-year-old Police Constable who was off-duty at the time of the incident.
He had been assaulted by a group of people in the Vitharadeniya area in Tangalle.
The suspects had reportedly assaulted the Police Constable with sharp objects while he had visited a grocery store last night.
Investigations have revealed that the attack had taken place over a personal dispute. (NewsWire)
