An individual suspected to have defrauded over Rs. 5 billion from people in the Galenbindunuwewa area in Anuradhapura has been arrested, the police said.
The Police said that the suspect was arrested along with his mistress from a house in Pilimathalawa area.
The 39-year-old man has been operating an illegal Pyramid style investment company called ‘Tredwing Limited’ and collecting money from unsuspecting people promising high returns, the police further said. (NewsWire)
