10 Covid19 patients reported today taking the total infected patients number in Sri Lanka to 1915.
Among the patients reported today 4 of them are from the 85 Iranian Technicians arrived from Iran to complete the Uma Oya Multi-Purpose Development Project.
The group arrived in the country yesterday evening. 95% of the Uma Oya project has already been completed and the remaining work is to be completed before December this year. The project will add 120 MW of electricity to the national grid.
After undergoing the mandatory PCR test at the airport, they were directed to the quarantine centres by the Army.
4 of them were identified as Covid19 patients at the quarantine center today.
Meanwhile 6 more Navy Covid19 patients were also reported today taking the total infected Navy patients to 899. Majority of them have recovered now.
