Government Information Department has noted that 22 persons who returned from Qatar and were undergoing quarantine have tested positive for Covid-19. The total number of the novel Coronavirus infected patients has risen up to 3071, reported health authorities.
It was confirmed yesterday that 32 more returnees from Qatar have contracted Covid-19. Accordingly, 54 patients have been reported during the last 24 hours, spanning from 10am yesterday to today 10am. Chief of the Epidemiology Unit, Consultant Dr. Sudath Samaraweera revealed that the said flight from Qatar had carried 398 passengers.
37 Covid-19 infected patients were reported yesterday and amongst them are 3 Indians, 2 person from the UAE and 32 persons from Qatar.
Out of the 3071 total infected of Covid-19 in Sri Lanka, 2868 have fully recovered, while 191 are receiving treatment in hospital. (NewsWire)
