55 COVID-19 patients have been identified in Sri Lanka today taking the total number of patients identified in Sri Lanka to 1613.
– 25 Navy personnel
– 8 returnees from Kuwait
– 3 returnees from the Maldives
– 19 returnees from Qatar
Meanwhile Health DG Dr Anil Jasinghe clarifies that an Army officer was erroneously reported from among Kuwaiti COVID19 patients detected yesterday. He says the officer was among others on duty at Katunayake Airport handling foreign returnees.
