Fifteen people were admitted to the Mannar Hospital following a collision between a bus and a train close to the Talaimannar Pier.
The Police said a 9-year-old child had died in the accident which occurred this afternoon.
Nearly 30 passengers, including 20 school children were inside the bus at the time of the accident.
The driver and the conductor of the private bus have been arrested by the Tailmannar Police. (NewsWire)
