A suspect who had bitten the chin of a Police officer to escape during a raid on a gambling den on Sunday (01) has been arrested by the Kayts Police.
The Police Constable who was injured by the suspect has been admitted to Kayts Hospital.
According to the Daily News, six to seven individuals had been engaged in gambling when the Police raided the location in Kayts.
Even though all the suspects had fled the area, the Police Constable was able to apprehend one suspect.
An officer involved in the raid reported that the suspect had assaulted the Police Constable and had even bitten his chin in a bid to escape, but the officer had held on to him despite the various attempts.
The 33-year-old suspect is expected to be produced in court. (NewsWire)
