Former UNP MP appointed SL Counsel General to Melbourne

Former Parliamentarian Sandith Samarasinghe has been appointed as the Counsel General of Sri Lanka to Melbourne, Australia.

Sandith Samarasinghe assumed duties at the Consulate General of Sri Lanka in Melbourne yesterday (12).

He was appointed as the Sri Lanka Counsel General to Melbourne, Australia by President Ranil Wickremesinghe.

Sandith Samarasinghe represented the United National Party (UNP) and served as a member of the Sri Lanka Parliament after being elected from the Kegalle District in 2015. (NewsWire)
