A 35-year-old man has died on Friday (4) after getting hit by the train near Wellawatta, the police said.
The police further said that the victim has been identified as a resident of Maskeliya. He had reportedly got hit by the train plying from Panadura to Polgawela last evening.
The body of the victim has been placed at the Kalubowila hospital and Wellawatta police are conducting further investigations. (NewsWire)
