Sports Minister Roshan Ranasinghe says that he has approved the Sri Lanka squad for the upcoming T20 world cup.
“As per recommendation of the sports council,I approved @OfficialSLC team yesterday the 13th which will commence from 16 October to 13th November 2022 in AUSTRALIA, As soon Sri Lanka cricket fans will be get final team and wish you very best for the tournament” Minister Ranasinghe tweeted.
Sri Lanka Cricket is expected to announce the approved squad shortly.
Sri Lanka squad will leave for the tournament in the first week of October after having a training camp in Pallekale.
Sri Lanka will play two warm-up games against Zimbabwe and Ireland before the tournament begins on October 16th. (NewsWire)
