Body of a 55-year-old British national residing in a house in Talpe area of Habaraduwa was found hanging inside a room of the house yesterday (06), the police said.
Police say that the victim was living alone in the house and when the owner of the house came to bring dinner on Saturday, he was found dead by strangulation with a piece of cloth.
Police suspect the victim might have died by suicide.
The post-mortem examination of the deceased foreigner was scheduled to be conducted at the Karapitiya Hospital, and the Habaraduwa police are conducting further investigations. (NewsWire)
