Tamil Progressive Alliance (TPA) leader MP Mano Ganesan has challenged the acting President and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe to contest for the Presidency in Parliament.
In a Twitter message, MP Mano Ganesan called on the Prime Minister to step down from his post with immediate effect.
Further accusing the Prime Minister of provocating the masses, the MP urged him to instead diffuse the current situation in Sri Lanka.
“I call upon the prime minister @RW_UNP to resign immediately, and stop provacating the masses, therefore the crisis is defused, Mr. Wickramasinghe can contest, if he wishes, for presidency inside parliament on July 20th, paving way for peaceful & democratic transition #lka,” MP Mano Ganesan Tweeted.
