A 03-year-old child has died after falling into a fish tank in the Madukele area in Panvila.
The Police said the boy had fallen into a 2 ½ foot water tank used to breed fish that was located in the front of his house.
The four siblings of the child are reported to have gone to school at the time of the incident.
The child and his mother had been home, during which the child had been playing alone in front of the house and had fallen into the fish tank.
The body of the toddler has been placed at Theldeniya Hospital. (NewsWire)
