Dollar rate goes down in several commercial banks

The US Dollar remains below the Rs. 300 rate at several commercial banks in Sri Lanka today (Mar 18), compared to last week.

At Commercial Bank, the buying rate of the US Dollar has dropped from Rs. 299.17 to Rs. 298.67, while the selling rate has dropped from Rs. 308.50 to Rs. 308.

According to NDB Bank, the buying rate of the US Dollar has reduced from Rs. 298.20 to Rs. 297.75, while the selling rate has also dropped from Rs. 309.20 to Rs. 308.75.

At Peoples Bank, the buying rate of the US Dollar has dropped from Rs. 299.84 to Rs. 299.35 and the selling rate has dropped from Rs. 310.29 to Rs. 309.48.

However, the Dollar remains in the Rs. 300 range at Sampath Bank, with the buying rate reducing from Rs. 300.50 to Rs. 300 and the selling rate dropping from Rs. 309.50 to Rs. 309. (NewsWire)
