The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation has taken down the fuel distribution lists published for today (June 18) from their website and social media channels.
The special website developed by ICTA (Fuel.Gov.lk) to check fuel availablity has also been taken down.
“We are very sorry for the inconvenience. The operation had to be temporarily shut down due to the instructions received by relevant authorities. We will be back soon.” The website said in a notice.
Sri Lanka is currently experiencing possibly its longest fuel queues in its history today due to unavailability of diesel and petrol stocks.
According to the Petroleum Private Tank Owners Association only 30% fuel bowsers are being utilized for fuel distribution currently due to limited fuel supply. (NewsWire)
