Health authorities along with representatives from the GMOA have had a discussion with Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana Wijesekara on Friday (17), on formulating a process to enable health workers to get fuel without any hindrance.
Authorities have pointed out that many health workers, including those who are engaged in emergency services had undergone difficulties in obtaining fuel, which has put a risk of maintaining emergency essential services smoothly.
Accordingly, it was agreed to implement a special program to supply fuel for health workers from next week to ensure that these essential activities continue uninterrupted. (NewsWire)
