Minister Manusha Nanayakkara says he will submit a proposal on issuing vehicle import permits to foreign workers sending money to Sri Lanka.
The Minister said he will make a proposal to issue a vehicle import permit for those who remitted $100,000 per year initially.
The Minister of Labour and Foreign Employment further said that he will submit the proposal to the Cabinet of Ministers today.
Minister Nanayakkara also said that they are looking at more ways to encourage Sri Lankans living overseas to send money to Sri Lanka. (NewsWire)
