80,000 gas Cylinders will be distributed daily from today, Litro Gas announced.
“We have enough stocks to continuously supply gas for the next few days, USD 7 million will also be paid for 2 Gas vessels on Monday” A spokesman from Litro Gas said.
Yesterday, Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE) recommended Litro Gas to distribute 60% of its LP gas cylinders to highly populated areas like Colombo & Gampaha that has limted alternative energy sources.
Meanwhile, Litro Chairman informed COPE that USD 120 million from the Indian credit line has been allocated to litro to import gas which will enable them to supply gas for 3 months.
