A suspect accused of stealing 14 motorcycles from different parts of the country has been arrested on Saturday (19) by the Katunayaka police.
Officers from the Katunayaka police station have managed to apprehend the suspect along with the 14 motorcycles he had stolen from Kurunegala, Wallawa, Pothuhara, Nittambuwa, Weliweriya, Warakapola, Ja-Ela, Veyangoda and Paliyagoda areas.
The suspect is a 24-year-old youth from Polpithigama area in Kurunegala district. He is to be produced to Minuwangoda Magistrate’s court today (20), while Katunayaka police are conducting further investigations. (NewsWire)
