Minister of Industries Wimal Weerawansa has slammed President Gotabaya Rajapaksa’s Secretary P. B. Jayasundara for the current economic crisis in Sri Lanka.
Addressing a television show last night (20), Minister Weerawansa said Jayasundara is looking at destroying the economy so it will fall in line with the agendas of India and the US.
Stating that at present it seems like many cannot run the economy without the assistance of P.B. Jayasundera, Minister Wimal Weerawansa questioned as to what would happen to the economy if the 70-year-old suddenly passes away.
“I am wondering why P.B. Jayasundara was not elected as the President as he seems to be the only person to have knowledge on handling the economic crisis and connections with all the international financial institutions,” he said.
Minister Weerawansa further said if Jayasundara was as capable as all around him portrayed him to be, how did Sri Lanka fall into such a deep economic crisis under his watch. (NewsWire)
