A traffic police officer has managed to arrest a suspect by hanging on to the motorcycle the suspect was trying to escape from.
This incident has taken place in the Main Street area in Pettah. When the police officer had inquired about motorcyclist on parking in a No-Parking area, the motorcyclist had started his bike and ridden away.
At this moment, the police officer has hung on to the motorcycle trying to stop the evading suspect. The police officer had been dragged along the road for about 70 meters before the bike had collided with with a three wheeler.
The police officer sustained serious injuries due to this incident and the police are conducting further investigations with regard to the arrested suspect. (NewsWire)
