A shooting incident has been reported in front of a tourist hotel on Marine Drive in Wellawatte today (Feb 27).
According to Lankadeepa, two unidentified gunmen on a motorcycle had fired into the air and fled the area following the shooting.
Media reports state that preliminary Police investigations have revealed that the gunmen had used a T-56 type of firearm to carry out the shooting.
No injuries or fatalities have been reported in the shooting.
The Wellawatte Police is conducting investigations into the incident. (NewsWire)
