Evening showers are expected in some areas of Sri Lanka today, according to the Department of Meteorology.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in the Western, Southern, Sabaragamuwa, Central, North-western and Uva provinces in the evening or night.
Misty conditions can be expected at some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Uva provinces and Galle and Matara districts during the morning.
Meanwhile, showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in the sea areas extending from Puttalam to Hambantota via Colombo and Galle in the evening or night.
Wind will be variable and wind speed will be 15-25 kmph in the sea areas around the island.
Sea areas around the island will be Slight. Temporarily strong gusty winds and very rough seas can be expected during thundershowers. (NewsWire)
