The Colombo High Court has released Finance Minister Basil Rajapaksa from the Divinaguma GI pipe case.
A case had been filed against Minister Basil Rajapaksa and former Divineguma Director General Kithsiri Ranawaka for misappropriating Rs.36.5 million state to purchase and distribute GI pipes targeting the 2015 Presidential Election.
When the case was taken up today, the court released both of them from the case as Attorney General had withdrew the indictments filed against both suspects. (NewsWire)
