Udari Chathurika Munasinghe, a young Sri Lankan model, who became well known for her story on the battle against cancer, has passed away today.
Known as Chathu Munasinghe, she had revealed her battle against cancer during a YouTube talk show few months ago, after which her story had gone viral.
Her speech, which had focused on facing life and not mentally breaking down over the illness, had greatly inspired many people who are suffering from cancer.
Aged 34, she was a motivational speaker, spreading awareness on cancer and the mental health of cancer patients.
It was reported that Chathu Munasinghe had contracted COVID-19 a few months ago as well while battling cancer, but, she had recovered from the disease.
However, the young woman of great courage had sadly succumbed to her battle with cancer today.
