An unusual accident was reported from the southern expressway earlier this week.
A Peacock flying across the road had knocked on a van traveling along the expressway, causing severe damage to the windscreen.
The van traveling towards Mattala met with this freak accident near the 137th km post, between the Kapuduwa and Aparekka interchanges on Tuesday (5).
Accidents involving animals/ birds have been on the rise in the southern expressway, especially since the extension of the expressway to Mattala last year. (NewsWire)
