Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake today responded to Government MPs who claimed that it was unfair to raise the matter pertaining to Thirukumar Nadesan who was named in the Pandora Papers.
Nadesan and his wife former Minister Nirupama Rajapaksa were named in the Pandora Papers, which revealed a list of people owning assets/wealth off-shore.
Addressing Parliament today, JVP MP Anura Kumara Dissanayake raised a question on how Nadesan had accumulated and distributed his alleged off-shore wealth.
However, Government MPs informed MP Dissanayake that he cannot raise questions in this regard as the matter was before the courts and it was unfair to Nadesan, as he cannot reply since he is not in Parliament. (NewsWire)

You tell me not to talk about Thiru Nadesan who has been included in the #PandoraPapers expose. You say, it's unfair to talk about him in #Parliament due to an ongoing case against him. But what about what he and his wife has done? @anuradisanayake#SriLanka #Colombo #Covid_19 pic.twitter.com/nBQWYSWkNS
