The world’s largest container vessel ‘Ever Ace’ docked at the Colombo Port for the first time today (06).
Marine Conservation group, The Pearl Protectors reported that the ‘Ever Ace’ is owned by the Evergreen Shipping Company.
The first in the line’s 24,000 twenty-foot equivalent unit (TEU) class container ships, it has the capacity to carry 23, 992 containers.
The ship, which is around 400m in length and 61.5 m wide, was first deployed in July 2020 and is operated by the Government of Panama.
According to reports, the ‘Ever Ace’ had left the Port of Rotterdam in the Netherlands last month and had docked at the Colombo Port today. (NewsWire)
