A weather advisory for heavy showers has been issued for several districts in Sri Lanka from 05.30 am today.
The Meteorology Department said showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Northwestern, Northern, and Southern provinces.
Fairly heavy showers about 50 mm can be expected at some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, and Central provinces, and in the Galle and Mathara districts.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places elsewhere during the afternoon or night, it added. (NewsWire)
