6-acre land given for Sri Narayana Dharma Sangam

The allotment of land on a long-term lease basis for the construction of a monastery for the Sri Narayan Guru Centenary Celebration has received Cabinet nod. 

According to the government, the Sri Narayana Dharma Sangam Colombo Trust has requested land from the Nuwara Eliya district to build a monastery with Indian aid for the centenary of Sri Narayan Guru. 

A 6-acre land called Rambodawatta belonging to the Land Reform Commission in Kothmale Divisional Secretariat of Nuwara Eliya District has been identified for this purpose. 

The Cabinet has approved the proposal presented by the Minister of Tourism and Lands to provide the Sri Narayana Dharma Sangam Colombo Trust with this land on a long-term lease basis for a period of 30 years. (NewsWire)
