Tamil National Peoples’ Front MP Selvarasa Gajendran was arrested by the Jaffna Police today (23) for attending a commemoration event held for former LTTE member Thileepan.
The Jaffna Police said that the MP and 2 others were arrested for violating the existing quarantine curfew.
“I condemn the arrest of Selvarajah Kajenthiran, MP in Jaffna today while exercising his right to memorialisation on behalf the TNA” TNA MP MA Sumanthiran tweeted.
