Dushmantha Chameera has been selected by the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) as a replacement for the English bowler Gus Atkinson in the upcoming TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. Chameera will be joining the team at a reserve price of INR 50 Lakh.
The Sri Lankan fast bowler, known for his pace and ability to trouble batsmen with swing and seam movements, previously played for Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 2018 and 2021 IPL seasons, respectively. In the 2022 season, he represented Lucknow Super Giants.
