Sri Lankan artist Yohani de Silva is set to perform in India, after her hit single ‘Menike mage hithe’ went viral across Sri Lanka and several other countries, including India and the US.
With over 100 million views, the cover song has reached international fame, with it being widely spread and other cover versions being continuously released.
Yohani announced that she will be performing in India, in New Delhi and Hyderabad. She will be performing along with her nine-member band in Gurugram on 30th September and Hyderabad on 3rd October.
The performances will be sponsored by ZEE LIVE of the ZEE Entertainment Enterprises Limited, one of the biggest and pioneers of the television entertainment industry in India.
Meanwhile, Yohani de Silva and her band members were hosted by the Director of the Indian Cultural Centre of the Indian High Commission in Sri Lanka Dr. Rewant Vikram Singh.
Yohani announced that she and her fellow artists were hosted at Dr. Rewant Vikram Singh’s office in Colombo yesterday.
The meeting comes prior to Yohani’s upcoming performances in India. (NewsWire)
