Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has reportedly decided to take five more reserve players to the ICC T20I World Cup.
The additional players have been included due to various injury concerns among the 19 cricketers currently selected for the tournament.
According to sources, the additional five players are to join the squad at the SLC’s own expense.
It is likely that Minod Bhanuka will replace injured Lahiru Madhusanka in the ICC T20I World Cup squad.
Pathum Nissanka, Ashen Bandara, Ramesh Mendis, and Lakshan Sandakan are expected to be extra players for the upcoming cricket tournament. (NewsWire)
