Former Minister Ravi Karunanayake has sent Letters of Demand (LOD) to State Minister Wimalaweera Dissanayake and Parliamentarian Kokila Gunawardena for making defamatory statements against him to the media.
The former Finance Minister is reported to have sought Rs. 2 billion from each party, amounting to a total of Rs. 4 billion.
The State Minister and MP are accused of defaming Ravi Karunanayake by stating that he had engaged in malpractices over the importation of sugar during the former Yahapalana regime. (NewsWire)
