A headless corpse that was retrieved from the seas off the coast of the Galle Town has been deduced to have been caused by drowning and not a murder.
Chief Judicial Medical Officer (JMO) at the Karapitiya hospital doctor Ruwan Nanayakkara said the cause of death was identified following the postmortem examination that was conducted at the hospital.
The headless corpse was found in the seas off the coast of Samudra Mawatha in the Galle Town on Thursday (02).
