Main opposition Samagi Jana Balawegaya in a statement says that although the party is pleased with the government’s decision to grant permission Regen import the REGAN-COV or Ronapreve drug for Covid treatment, had the decision taken earlier when the Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa first pointed out the drug, it would have saved at least a few more lives.
“We, therefore, re-emphasize the government including Chairman of the Medicines Regulatory Authority, Ministers in charge of the subject, Prime Minister and the President, to pay more intelligent,
responsible and serious attention towards people’s lives and how to get rid of this catastrophe.” SJB said in the statement.
