A woman has given birth to triplets at the Puttalam Hospital.
According to reports, the woman had been admitted to the hospital while she was seven months pregnant after she had contracted COVID-19.
She had been treated at the hospital for 14-days after which she had been discharged.
However, after completing 34 weeks of her pregnancy she had been readmitted to the hospital due to high blood pressure.
The hospital is reported to have anticipated the birth of the triplets and had made necessary preparations for the occasion.
The woman had undergone a cesarian during the 35th week of her pregnancy at the Puttalam Hospital.
The Hospital said the triplets, two girls and a boy, are currently in good health. (NewsWire)
