Former Finance Minister Ronnie de Mel has paid tribute to late opposition politician Mangala Samaraweera, who passed away due to COVID-19 earlier this week.
Issuing a statement, the 96-year-old former Minister said he and Samaraweera had worked together and against each other to represent the Matara District.
He added that Mangala Samaraweera had fulfilled his duties diligently under every Ministry that the latter had headed. (NewsWire)
